Biological Microscope Rainbow 2L (Amethyst) Levenhuk

94,00

The Levenhuk Rainbow 2L microscope series offers quality glass optics, an ergonomic design, a full set of accessories and five stunning colors. With the Levenhuk Rainbow 2L microscope, study will become an adventure! Children will be able to explore the microcosm and perform exciting experiments on their own. A child will learn many new things about indoor plants and their structure, examine cat hair and learn the differences from human hair, observe a variety of microorganisms that live in a drop of water from an aquarium, and many other interests things.

Levenhuk Rainbow 2L microscopes give 40x-400x magnifications, which are more than enough for children’s first biological investigations. Thanks to dual illumination (top and bottom), these microscopes are suitable for observing transparent, translucent and opaque objects – the choice of samples is limited only by the imagination of the young researcher! The body of the microscopes is made of light but reliable plastic. Each Levenhuk Rainbow 2L microscope comes with a Levenhuk K50 experiment set.
The series also includes a digital model, which allows the recording of observed microorganisms in stunning photos and videos.

Stylish and attractive, the Levenhuk Rainbow 2L microscope can turn even the most boring biology lesson into fascinating research. This microscope enables children to discover what the things around them are made of, study insects and plants, see if yogurt actually contains living organisms, and many other interesting things. The Levenhuk Rainbow 2L comes with an experiment set, meaning the young researcher can start using the microscope straight away.

High quality glass optics
All optical elements of the microscope are made of high-quality, high-transparency glass. To further increase light transmission the lenses are multi-coated – this is why the image has such sharpness, clarity and contrast. The microscope has three objective lenses, which respectively give magnifications of 40x, 100x, and 400x. All you need to do to change the magnification is turn the rotating muzzle.

Ability to observe transparent and opaque objects
To observe a specimen, place it on the stage of the microscope and secure it with the two holding plates on the stage. If the sample is transparent, for example a thin slice of onion or a mosquito wing, you should turn on the illumination located under the stage. Conversely, if you want to study opaque objects – coins, plant leaves or paper – you should turn on the lighting above the bank. If you turn on both light sources, you will also be able to observe translucent samples. The light intensity is adjustable, so you can adjust it to the level that works best for each specimen.

Thoughtful design
The body of the microscope is made of light but, at the same time, durable plastic. Thanks to its light weight, the microscope is very easy to carry and the student can take it to school or when visiting friends. The head is tilted 45° for more comfortable observations. The device can be powered either by the mains or by batteries, which means that it can be used not only at home or at school, but also outdoors.

Set of experiments
The microscope comes with the Levenhuk K50 experiment set, which enables you to perform a number of interesting experiments – for example, you can observe the leg of a fly or grow a population of aquarium microorganisms (artemia). The set includes a full-color instruction manual with helpful hints for using the microscope, valuable tips for preparing specimen slides, and descriptions of the most fun experiments.

Attention: Use the power of the outlet only if your mains supply has the appropriate voltage, which is indicated on the microscope’s characteristics table. Never connect a 110V device to a 220V outlet or vice versa without using an adapter. Please note that the mains voltage in the USA and Canada is 110V, while in most European countries it is 220-240V.
